Who is rich ?

A wealthy woman goes to a saree store and tells the boy at the counter
Bhaiya, show some cheap sarees. It is my son's marriage and I have to give to my maid.
After sometime, the maid comes to the saree shop and tells the boy at the counter
Bhaiya, show some expensive sarees. I want to gift my Mistress on her son's marriage
Poverty is in the mind or in the purse?
Who is rich ?
Once, a lady with her family was staying in a 3-star hotel for a picnic. She was the mother of a 6 month old baby.
"Can I get 1 cup of milk?" asked the lady to the 3-star hotel manager.
"Yes madam", he replied, "But it will cost you money."
"No problem", said the lady.
While driving back from hotel, the child was hungry again.
They stopped at a road side tea stall and took milk from the tea vendor.
"How much?” she asked the tea vendor.
"Madam, we don't charge money for kid's milk", the old man said with a smile. Let me know if you need more for the journey"
The lady took one more cup and left.
She wondered, "Who’s richer ? The hotel manager or the old tea vendor ?
Sometimes, in the race for more money, we forget that we are all humans.Let's help someone in need, without expecting something in return. It will make us feel better than what money can.
Coffee never knew that it would taste so nice and sweet, before it met milk and sugar. We are good as individuals but become better when we meet and blend with the right people.

Akbar & Birbal

Once Badshah Akbar' s army was engaged in a prolonged war. As a result his royal wealth ("shahi khazana") was nearly exhausted.

He asked Birbal, "How to replenish my wealth."
Birbal: You can get it from Dhanna Seth.(merchant).
Akbar was amazed as to how a trader/ merchant could have so much money. Still he went to Dhanna Seth.
Dhanna Seth offered: Badshah Akbar, I have huge wealth, take as much as you want."
Akbar: Dhanna Seth, How did you accumulate so much wealth. Tell me without any fear of punishment.
Dhanna: I earned it by adultrating grains & spices.

Akbar got angry, he took all of Dhanna's wealth and ordered him that from then on he would collect the horse dung in his royal stable. Dhanna agreed.
Years passed by. Again Akbar had to fight a long drawn battle. Again his royal wealth exhausted & again Birbal advised Akbar to go to Dhanna Seth for help.
Akbar wondered : Birbal, I had ordered him to work in royal stable to collect horse dung, How on earth he can have such a wealth."
Birbal: Badshah, you can ask him but only he can help you.
Akbar went to Dhanna. Dhanna gave Akbar huge wealth.
Akbar: Dhanna Seth, I had earlier taken all your wealth, How did you accumulate it again?

Dhanna: From the stable - incharge & horse attendants. They used to underfeed the horses. I threatened them that I will complain to Badshah that they did not feed horses enough, hence the horse dung quantity was less. So they bribed me to keep silent.
Akbar got very angry again & ordered Dhanna to start counting the waves at sea & returned to his Palace with Dhanna's wealth.

As luck would have it, Akbar fought another war, royal wealth emptied out and once again Birbal advised Akbar to go to Dhanna Seth for help.

Akbar could not believe as to how Dhanna could earn so much by counting waves at sea.
Akbar asked Dhanna for the help.
Dhanna: Badshah, Take as much as you want but this time around I will not change my profession.
Akbar: Ok, but tell me how did you earn money by counting Water waves at sea.
Dhanna: Very simple, I used to stop merchant's ships & boats far away from sea shore. I showed them your orders that I was counting waves & their ships & boats would disturb or break the waves hence their ships or boats should stay away. Badshah, these merchants then used to bribe me to let them reach the shore & unload their merchandise.
So Badshah understood that Dhanna Seth can earn by engaging in manipulations & bribery from any profession.
Demonetisation or no demonetisation, the Dhanna Seths of our society will always find a way to earn & accumulate black money.

Views of an Indian couple in USA

Views of an Indian couple in USA,
(Article received through whatsapp is shared)
Do Indians living in America want to go back to India?
I can’t say for all Indians living in USA, however I can speak for my husband and myself. Both of us want to go back to India. This is a take from my personal experience. We both had come for Masters in USA to gain in depth knowledge in Computer Science. Computer Science evolved in USA and is at its peak here.
However, life is not just related to your working profession. The madness for excellence in a field goes down when one sees the realities of life. As a student who takes heavy loans life is not luxurious and its at that time one sees what its like to live in poverty. Poverty might seem an extreme word, but when you are spending huge amount of money its affects your entire family. When its payback time after getting a job, it takes 4–5 years to financially settle and build on savings. Moreover the work here is contract on will, where you can be terminated at anytime. Your life is heavily dependent on money in USA. If you don't make it to VP level, you may be retired in your 50 s . Getting a job thereafter may be difficult ,as mid aged people aren't welcome. Moreover there is no domestic help here and sharing domestic chores with family can be killing.Raising children from birth to 7years is impossible without mother quitting her job or parents coming over from India full time.
As far as going back is concerned, I would like to highlight its effect on the family life. In our family, our grandfathers and great grandfathers built a house big enough for their next generations. They had laid foundation of basic security for his next generations, where their children don’t have to struggle to build house, and their parents can rest in the same house. Their children can study and work on things which would make lives of their next generation better. This is a sustainable cycle for generations, and everyone is taken care off - elderly, middle aged and children.
Now when we go to USA and start a new life, we buy a house which would be extremely expensive and is a commitment for 15–20 years. Our parents can’t move to USA so they are left for themselves in old age (leaving the extended family/home, visa restrictions, expensive healthcare and no one to take care for them).

Our children wouldn’t be connected to their family (as we can afford to go to India only once in 1–2 years). An upbringing without family ties would make them individualistic and they would accept that they have to do everything for themselves with no one to trust/take care (Not even their parents). Most likely they would move out of the house and settle somewhere else and end up in same cycle as us. Moreover, the upbringing of our children would be affected because we would not be able to spend time with them as we would be busy earning money for their education, college, and they would be left with some stranger throughout their childhood.
This process is neither helping our parents, nor our children and us. I have broken up the three generations of my family and have started an unsustainable cycle of life where it affects all 3 generations of my family. No amount of money can restore this, be it USD or INR. This is a collective loss of our society today, where parents are staying in old age homes, children in day care and we in office. We realized that its our time to return to preserve our generations and family.

Think Different

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.” There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.

The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were u the one who changed my sign this morning? What did u write?”The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what u said but in a different way.”What he had written was: “Today is a beautiful day & I cannot see it.”

Do u think the first sign & the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.
The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story :Be thankful for what you have.
Be creative.Be innovative.Think different and positive.

A Corporate Story:

Every day, a small 🐜 Ant arrives at work very early and starts work immediately.
🐜 She produces a lot and she was happy.
The Chief, 🐯 a Tiger, was surprised to see that 🐜 the Ant was working without supervision.
🐯 He thought if the 🐜 Ant can produce so much without supervision, wouldn’t she produce even more if she had a supervisor!
So 🐯 he recruited a 🐝 Bee who had extensive experience as 👷 supervisor and who was famous for 📝 writing excellent reports.
The 🐝 Bee’s first decision was to set up a 🔔 clocking in attendance system.
🐝 He also needed a secretary to help him write and type his reports and he recruited a 🐇Rabbit , who managed the archives and monitored all phone calls.
🐯 The Tiger was delighted with the 🐝 Bee's reports and asked him to produce 📊 graphs to describe production rates and to analyse 📉 trends, so that he could use them for 📁 presentations at Board‘s meetings.
So the 🐝 Bee had to buy a 💻 new computer and a Laser printer and recruited a 🐈 Cat to manage the 🌐 IT department.
The🐜 Ant, who had once been so productive and relaxed, hated this new plethora of paperwork and meetings which used up most of her time…!
🐯 The Tiger came to the conclusion that it was high time to nominate a person in charge of the department where the 🐜 Ant worked.
The position was given to the 🐒 Monkey, whose first decision was to buy an Air Conditioner and an ergonomic 💺 chair for his office.
The new person in charge, 🐒 the Monkey, also needed a 💻 computer and a personal assistant , who he brought from his previous department, to help him prepare a 📑 Work and 📃 'Budget Control Strategic Optimisation Plan' …
The Department where the 🐜 Ant works is now a sad place, where nobody laughs anymore and everybody has become upset...
It was at that time that the 🐝 Bee convinced the boss, 🐯 the Tiger; of the absolute necessity to start a climatic study of the environment .
Having reviewed the charges for running the 🐜 Ant’s department , the 🐯 Tiger found out that the Production was much less than before.
So he recruited the 🐤 Owl, a prestigious and renowned consultant to carry out an audit and suggest solutions.
🐤 The Owl spent three months in the department and came up with an enormous report, in several volumes, that concluded...
.
.
.
.
“ The Department is overstaffed ...”
.
.
.
.
Guess who the 🐯 Tiger fires first?
.
.
.
.
.
Of course, 🐜 the Ant.........,
"....because she showed lack of motivation and had a negative attitude. "
